I bought this tub spout to replace my aging tub spout which was no longer working well. I was looking for a tub spout that does not drip any water from the spout when in shower mode, as most lift up tub diverters leak a bit of water through the tub by design. The only spout I've seen that doesn't leak like this is a pull down spout from Delta, though the Delta model is cheap looking. This seemed like a copy of the diverter mechanism but with a nicer looking design, and sure enough it works the same way, you pull down on the diverter at the end of the spout and voila, no dripping of water. The entire stream is diverted to the shower head which seems like a much more efficient design, and when you turn off the shower, the diverter resets itself. Received quickly, and the design and finish perfectly matches the brushed nickel finish on a different brand of plumbing fixtures that were already installed.

I have no complaints about the workmanship or the quality of this fixture. But the length and diameter is more suited for a very large Roman style bathtub and not the standard size bathtub that you would find in my, and the majority of other homes. Once I installed it and tested it, I realized that I would have to put my older spout back on the tub. This one is just too huge for my use.

I'm keeping it though for the day that my wife realizes her personal dream of owning an eight to ten foot long and four foot wide, Roman bathtub.

The spout has a very nice look to it, but it is rather large. It sticks out quite a bit more than our old spout. The diverter...so far...works great. I'm just hoping that it'll work just as great a couple of years from now. I've gotten very disappointed with the pull up style diverters as they always seem to need replacing after a couple of years.

Edit - Update:
Well...the diverter technically is still working, but the problem is that it doesn't automatically reset itself when the water is shut off. So if you don't push the ring up after the shower, the next person gets a little surprise when the shower immediately comes on soaking their head. When you push up on the ring it doesn't pop up and stay up, it just has stopped doing it automatically once the water is shut off.
