Yes it is true that this item does not come with the shower valve, that is why it is called TRIM. All plumbing fixtures are sold 2 ways... with the valve, or without. This item was depicted correctly & the previous rater should have done her homeowork, if she didn't undestand what she was buying. KOHLER's website gives all of the detailed information on their items. I'd recommend checking out their specifications sheet &/or talking with a plumber if you are not sure about what you are buying.

I just ordered this item for a client & am completely satified with the product. Is is exactly what I expected.

I ordered this product from Amazon. I'm from the Philippines, so I had it delivered to my relative and she shipped it to me. I thought I ordered the complete set as it states. I was dismayed that this set that I bought does not include the shower valve. How can you sell this without the shower valve. Even if I saved $27, now I have to spend $82 more to order the shower valve.
