Originally I bought another brand not realizing the simple fix if you buy the same brand for replacement. The old one screwed out and the new one in. That simple. It is compatible with the most common Moen valve kits, which is a definite plus if you're replacing a Moen. All I had to do prepare for my install was remove my old faucet and trim a little plastic down to the right length (the handle bases are shorter than the ones being replaced). The set screw for the faucet was a little small, so I ended up using the one from my old faucet.This faucet is significantly quieter than my original, contractor-grade faucet. The action on the handles is smooth, as you'd expect. The only issue I have is that I can't seem to get away from the fingerprints and water spots. Most of my brushed nickel fixtures have the same problem, although I've come across a few products with a clear coat that helps prevent that.
