Price Pfister Slide Bar Shower System

I BOUGHT THIS SLIDE BAR SHOWER SYSTEM THINKING IT WAS A HIGHER QUALITY THAN I RECEIVED.
TOO MUCH OF IT WAS PLASTIC. SPECIFICALLY THE SLIDE BAR WAS PLASTIC & IT WAS A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT.
FOR THE PRICE I WAS EXPECTING A METAL SLIDE BAR ASSEMBLY THAT WOULD BE STRONG & SAFE FOR THE APPLICATION. THE HAND HELD SHOWER HEAD IS PLASTIC TOO, BUT THAT IS TO BE EXPECTED. THE ENTIRE SYSTEM IS PRETTY & LOOKS GREAT IN MY NEW TILED SHOWER. I JUST WISHED THEY HAD NOT BEEN SO CHEAP & SUPPLIED A METAL SLIDE BAR.

Originally thought this product could also be used as a grab bar. This is not the case, however, did add additional support behind installation of bar just in case. Nice product, however not as much water pressure as I would have expected. Great clean look.

A lot of complaints on not only this sprayer, but others, are that it is "plastic"... this is the way the industry is trending - it's not necessarily "cheap". It's because of two reasons:

1. Plastic will not corrode, rust, discolor, etc
2. Plastic is MUCH easier to replace with replacement parts if something goes wrong

Unless you have guests that examine this closely and have a disdain for plastic, it will look just like a chrome steel shower. The advantage is that (a) you didn't pay a fortune (b) it will always look good and clean up good and (c) if something goes wrong, it's an easy swap-out fix.
